Im Kampf gegen die Klimaerwärmung müssen Wintersportorte zukünftig noch mehr technischen Schnee erzeugen. Zielgerichtete Schneeproduktion und Pistenpräparation sind das Gebot der Stunde, um der Kostenexplosion entgegen zu wirken.

Daten sind der Treibstoff jedes System. PowerGIS und die Vermessung AVT setzen wichtige Impulse für mehr Pistenqualität und Schneesicherheit auf der Piste. Und nicht nur das: Die erzeugten Daten können in vielfältiger Weise verwendet werden. Von der Dokumentation und Planung bis hin zur Schneehöhenmessung.

Auf Initiative der PowerGIS GmbH und Unterstützung der Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel wurde kürzlich das Kompetenzzentrum PistenManagement ins Leben gerufen. Ziel dieser Einrichtung ist es, die Arbeitsweise auf der Piste noch weiter zu professionalisieren und somit Pistenqualität und Schneesicherheit zu erhöhen. Das Resultat kann sich nur im sinnvollen Ressourceneinsatz und in einer Ergebnisverbesserung niederschlagen.
